Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • ETL Testing & Validation
    • Perform end-to-end testing of Informatica workflows, mappings, and transformations.
    • Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes against business requirements.
  • Database Testing
    • Write and execute PL/SQL queries to verify data integrity and consistency.
    • Perform regression, functional, and performance testing on Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Scripting & Automation
    • Develop and maintain test scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
    • Ensure efficient execution of test cases and reporting.
  • Collaboration & Documentation
    • Work closely with developers, data engineers, and business teams to understand requirements.
    • Document test cases, test results, and defect reports.
    • Participate in defect triage and provide root cause analysis.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure compliance with testing standards and best practices.
    • Identify gaps in data processes and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years in ETL/Data Warehouse testing, with a focus on Informatica.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools.
    • Proficiency in PL/SQL for data validation and query writing.
    • Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
    • Hands-on scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar).
  • Other Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Familiarity with defect management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, etc.).
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
