Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Design: Architect the underlying framework that powers all metadata collectors, ensuring long-term extensibility and developer ergonomics.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product and Design to define the future of data governance and cataloging.

• Complex Problem Solving: Tackle the hardest "edge case" problems in system integration—handling rate limits, schema drifts, and authentication hurdles at scale.

• Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor for Senior and Mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, with a history of leading largescale Java projects from conception to production.

• Metadata Guru: Deep expertise in metadata management, data lineage, or data governance workflows.

• Influence: Ability to drive technical consensus across teams and communicate complex architectural trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

• Modern Data Stack: Strong hands-on experience with modern data warehouses and orchestration tools. You should understand not just how to connect to them, but how data flows through them.
