senior z Systems Db2 Infrastructure Software Engineer responsible for installation, configuration, administration, and lifecycle management of Db2 and related ISV software using SMP/E and zOSMF. Requires mainframe experience in large multi-LPAR and Parallel Sysplex environments, including Db2 data sharing, buffer pool tuning, storage groups, logging, disaster recovery, and IPL integration. Strong skills in z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, dataset and zFS management, ITSM processes, and monitoring tools such as Omegamon, MXG, and Splunk are essential. Responsibilities include applying vendor fixes, automating processes, documenting technical solutions, supporting incident resolution and on-call operations, coordinating with vendors, and using AI tools to enhance performance insights, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
