Job Description
Key Responsibility
• Design, build, and maintain automation test suites for desktop-web and mSite using Selenium, Java, and TestNG
• Own API automation using Rest Assured — covering contract validation, regression, and integration scenarios
• Analyse failures deeply — inspect network traffic, application logs, and web-view DOM to isolate root causes
• Contribute to test planning — identify test scenarios, edge cases, and risks during sprint planning and refinement
• Collaborate closely with developers to shift testing left — review feature specs, flag risks early, and validate acceptance criteria
• Support feature delivery activities as needed based on business priorities — including exploratory and manual testing
• Maintain test documentation and ensure automation coverage metrics are tracked and visible to the team
• Participate in CI/CD integration — ensure automation runs reliably on every build and failures are actioned quickly
Primary Tech Skill
• Selenium — hands-on experience building and maintaining UI automation frameworks for web
• Java — strong programming fundamentals; ability to write clean, maintainable test code
• Rest Assured — experience automating REST API test suites, validating request/response contracts, status codes, and payloads
• TestNG — test organisation, parallel execution, data-driven testing, and reporting
Must have skills & Experience
• 4 to 6 years of overall QA / SDET experience
• Proven experience with front-end automation across both desktop-web and mSite (responsive / web-view based applications)
• Strong back-end automation skills — API testing, schema validation, and end-to-end integration scenarios
• White-box testing mindset — ability to read and reason about application code, inspect network calls, analyse logs, and debug issues beyond the UI layer
• Ability to design test strategies that cover happy paths, edge cases, boundary conditions, and failure scenarios comprehensively
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments — sprint ceremonies, test planning, and managing parallel priorities
• Hands-on experience with browser developer tools (DevTools) for debugging front-end behaviour in web-view contexts
• Familiarity with version control using Git and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
