Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor a team of 5-6 developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Hands-On Development: Actively contribute to coding, focusing on Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, while maintaining high code quality.
• Architecture Design: Design and implement microservices-based architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
• Project Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of projects while adhering to quality standards and timelines.
• Process Improvement: Implement best practices in Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows.
• Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java/J2EE technologies, and at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Must-Have Skills:
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful API development.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing microservices.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of developers.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL, including writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers, along with schema design, query optimisation, and performance tuning.
