Key Responsibilities

• Database & ETL Testing
• Validate ETL processes, data pipelines, and transformations across Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
• Write and execute PL/SQL queries to verify data integrity, consistency, and performance.
• Scripting & Automation
• Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate test execution and reporting.
• Implement test automation frameworks for regression and functional testing.
• Quality Assurance
• Design, document, and execute test cases for DB/ETL workflows.
• Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct performance and scalability testing for large datasets.
• Collaboration & Documentation
• Work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test results, and defect logs.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and provide insights for process improvements.

 Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in QA/testing with a focus on DB/ETL systems.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong expertise in PL/SQL for data validation and query writing.
• Proficiency in shell scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of ETL workflows and data warehouse concepts.
• Other Skills:
• Familiarity with defect management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
