Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated PostgreSQL Developer with 1–2 years of experience to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of PostgreSQL databases. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SQL programming, database management, and query optimization, along with a willingness to learn and work on cloud-based database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL databases for application support.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
  • Assist in database schema design and implementation.
  • Perform basic query optimization and troubleshoot database performance issues.
  • Support database backup, recovery, and monitoring activities.
  • Work with backend developers to integrate databases with .NET applications.
  • Create and maintain database documentation.
  • Assist in debugging database-related issues and resolving data inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth database operations.
  • Follow database security and best practices for data management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Good knowledge of SQL programming and database concepts.
  • Basic understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Exposure to stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server is an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft .NET applications and database connectivity.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of database backup and recovery concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with PostgreSQL administration tools such as pgAdmin.
  • Basic knowledge of SSIS or ETL processes is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodology.
