Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage Oracle databases on Exadata Cloud Services (ExaCS).

Provision, configure, and manage ExaCS environments using the OCI Console and OCI APIs.

Perform database lifecycle management, including installation, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.

Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and OCI snapshots.

Configure and manage High Availability (HA) solutions using Oracle RAC.

Implement and support Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Oracle Data Guard.

Monitor database health, performance, and capacity, and proactively resolve issues.

Independently handle production incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure stable and scalable database operations.

Ensure compliance with security, availability, and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.

Strong hands on experience with Exadata Cloud Services (ExaCS).

Proven expertise in provisioning and managing ExaCS using OCI Console and APIs.

Extensive experience with RMAN backups, restores, and recovery operations.

Strong knowledge of OCI snapshot based backups and recovery.

Deep understanding of Oracle RAC for high availability.

Strong experience configuring and managing Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.

Ability to independently own database operations and troubleshoot complex issues.
