Job Description
Key
Responsibilities
- Perform functional, integration,
regression, and end-to-end testing of card acquiring applications.
- Validate acquiring transaction flows
including:
- Purchase
- Reversal
- Refund
- Void
- Chargeback
- Pre-authorization
and Completion
- Analyse and validate ISO 8583
messages and transaction data elements.
- Verify transaction processing across
POS, eCommerce, and payment gateway systems.
- Test and validate Clearing &
Settlement processes and reconciliation reports.
- Execute manual test cases and prepare
detailed test evidence.
- Perform API Testing using tools
such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Review business requirements,
functional specifications, and test scenarios.
- Identify, log, track, and retest
defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts,
Development Teams, L2/L3 Support Teams, and Product Owners.
- Participate in UAT support and
production verification activities.
- Analyse production issues and assist
in RCA validation from a testing perspective.

- Good knowledge of Acquiring domain
and merchant transaction processing.
- Understanding of:
- Authorization
- Clearing
- Settlement
- Chargebacks
- Reconciliation
- Knowledge of card schemes such as Visa,
Mastercard, RuPay, and domestic switches.
Testing
Skills
- Strong experience in Manual Testing.
- Test case creation, execution, and
defect management.
- Experience in System Integration
Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and UAT support.
- Ability to analyse business
requirements and convert them into test scenarios.
Technical
Skills
- Hands-on experience with API
Testing using Postman or SoapUI.
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP
services.
- Experience analysing JSON and XML
payloads.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data
validation.
- Experience in validating ISO 8583
messages, transaction logs, and host responses.
