Job Description
Key Responsibilities
·
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain
enterprise software applications and services using Python,
TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and modern backend frameworks.
·
Architect, build, and operate RESTful APIs and
microservices that support scalable, production-grade business and platform
capabilities across GCP and Azure.
·
Apply microservice architecture patterns,
including service decomposition, inter-service communication, API gateway
patterns, and event-driven design.
·
Design reliable data models and optimize
relational database solutions using PostgreSQL; evaluate NoSQL and vector
database options where appropriate, and work with BigQuery/GCS for analytical
and classification-tagged data.
·
Implement secure application patterns, including
authentication, authorization, input validation, rate limiting, and secrets
management.
·
Own containerized deployment practices using
Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, Cloud Run, and Azure Container Apps, including
production-readiness and operational support.
·
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub
Actions, Jenkins, or comparable platforms, extending them where appropriate
with AI-specific stages such as eval gates, prompt-injection/red-team checks,
and cost-budget checks.
·
Instrument services and agents for observability
using structured logging, distributed tracing, and monitoring (e.g.,
OpenTelemetry, Grafana), applying redaction and privacy controls where
sensitive data is involved.
·
Lead practical integration of LLMs into
production applications, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented
generation (RAG), embeddings, and model evaluation practices, routed through
approved internal AI gateways.
·
Contribute to agent-based capabilities where
applicable, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) server integration, agent
lifecycle management, and non-human identity patterns.
·
Mentor engineers, guide technical delivery, and
partner with product, business, security, legal, and compliance stakeholders to
translate requirements and governance needs into effective technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
·
10-12 years of software development experience
in enterprise-scale or production environments, ideally including platform or
infrastructure engineering.
·
Strong proficiency in Python and
TypeScript/JavaScript; experience with Java is preferred.
·
Demonstrated full-stack development capability,
including React with TypeScript on the frontend and FastAPI, Spring Boot, or
comparable backend frameworks.
·
Proven experience designing, developing, and
operating RESTful APIs and microservices at scale.
·
Strong understanding of microservice
architecture patterns, including service decomposition, inter-service
communication using REST, gRPC, or message queues, and API gateway patterns.
·
Experience implementing event-driven
architectures and asynchronous messaging platforms such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or
similar technologies.
·
Hands-on database design experience with
PostgreSQL, including relational schema design and query optimization; exposure
to NoSQL or vector databases is preferred.
·
Working knowledge of authentication and
authorization patterns, including OAuth2, JWT, and role-based access control.
·
Strong understanding of API security best practices,
including input validation, rate limiting, and secrets management.
·
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/GKE for
containerization and orchestration.
·
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub
Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms, including ownership of the full
pipeline lifecycle.
·
Hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience with
GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and related services; Azure
experience (Container Apps, Entra ID) is a plus.
·
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
·
2+ years of hands-on experience integrating
large language models into production applications.
·
Practical experience with prompt engineering,
retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and embeddings; familiarity with fine-tuning
and model evaluation is preferred.
·
Experience with the Anthropic Claude platform,
including API usage, the Claude Agent SDK, and Claude Code, or comparable
platforms such as OpenAI or Gemini.
·
Familiarity with agentic AI patterns, multi-step
reasoning workflows, and multi-agent delegation.
·
Experience building or configuring Model Context
Protocol (MCP) servers, including enterprise-managed authorization brokered
through an identity provider, is strongly preferred.
·
Hands-on experience with agent build frameworks
such as Google ADK, LangGraph, or the Claude Agent SDK, including MCP-based
tool integration.
·
Working knowledge of non-human/agent identity
systems such as Entra Agent ID and/or GCP Agent Identity, including scope
design and lifecycle binding to compute.
·
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry GenAI semantic
conventions and Grafana Tempo, or comparable distributed tracing and
observability stacks.
·
Familiarity with platform-engineering catalogs
such as Backstage, including scoped-credential support for agents.
·
Working knowledge of enterprise systems
(Workday, ServiceNow, M365) and their emerging agent governance layers.
·
Awareness of employment-decision AI regulation
(e.g., EU AI Act high-risk obligations, NYC LL144) sufficient to translate
legal requirements into intake-gate logic.
