AWS Engineer Azure DynamoDB Cosmos AWS SDK ECS/Fargate Node.js AWS PaaS Azure services (Cosmos/ Event Hub/ AKS)

Job Description

Cloud engineers dev engineers, good knowledge of Azure/AWS Dev stack including cosmos / dynamo db database. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement code refactoring for Azure-to-AWS migration, including:
    • Cosmos DB to DynamoDB SDK/client swap and per-table migration patterns (e.g., dual-read/TTL, hard cutover).
    • Event Hub to Kinesis eventing code replacements.
    • Caching strategy updates (Redis replacement evaluations, DAX/ElastiCache integration).
    • Service discovery, configuration, and secrets management migration.
  • Participate in container migration, image registry updates (ECR), and ECS/Fargate (or Lambda) deployment.
  • Apply, test, and validate AWS SDK/service calls consistent with agreed modernization patterns (per-app or per-service Good/Better/Best classification).
  • Support per-service and cross-app regression, UAT, and migration waves.
  • Cooperate with App SMEs, QA, and Performance Engineers to respond to issues, bugs, or failed tests.
  • Author or update technical documentation and participate in knowledge transfer as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years professional software engineering; strong Node.js/TypeScript required.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud migration, especially Azure→AWS, and containerization.
  • Experience with AWS PaaS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, S3, Parameter Store/Secrets Manager).
  • Familiarity with Azure services (Cosmos, Event Hub, AKS) a plus.
  • Understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and caching.
  • Good communicators, able to follow detailed runbooks and document changes as required.
