Job Description

Key Responsibilities

·   Deploy, configure, integrate, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, NAC, VPN, wireless, and other networking/security solutions.

·   Execute new deployments, migrations, upgrades, expansions, and configuration changes.

·   Troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, routing, switching, firewall, VPN, NAC/AAA, wireless, and network performance issues.

·   Perform device commissioning, testing, validation, and acceptance testing.

·   Work with customers, internal teams, and OEM/TAC for implementation and resolution of technical issues.

·   Prepare implementation documentation, SOP, MOP, daily reports, etc.

Required Technical Knowledge

Routing & IP Networking: Good understanding and hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing and subnetting, static and dynamic routing, OSPF, BGP, route redistribution, ACL, NAT/PAT, DHCP, DNS, VRF, and routing redundancy concepts.

Switching: Good understanding and hands-on knowledge of VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, STP/RSTP/MSTP, EtherChannel/Port-Channel, LACP, MLAG, switch stacking and high-availability technologies such as Cisco StackWise/StackWise Virtual, Aruba VSF/VSX, or equivalent OEM technologies.

Network Security: Hands-on experience in NGFW deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting, including security policies, zones, NAT, application control, URL filtering, IPS/IDS, SSL inspection, network segmentation, High Availability (Active-Passive/Active-Active), and basic security hardening.

VPN: Hands-on deployment and troubleshooting experience with IPsec site-to-site VPN, remote-access/SSL VPN, IKEv1/IKEv2, route-based VPN, and VPN redundancy/failover concepts.

NAC & AAA: Understanding and preferably hands-on experience with NAC, RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, MAB, profiling, posture assessment, authentication/authorization policies, downloadable/dynamic ACLs, and role-based network access, using solutions such as Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, or equivalent.

Wireless Networking: Good understanding and preferably hands-on experience with enterprise WLAN, wireless controllers/cloud-managed wireless, Wi-Fi 5/6/6E concepts, WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise, 802.1X authentication, RF fundamentals, roaming, channel/power planning, and wireless troubleshooting.

SD-WAN & Modern Networking: Basic understanding or deployment exposure to SD-WAN architecture, centralized management, application-aware routing, multiple WAN underlays, overlays, and secure branch connectivity.

Network Management & Troubleshooting: Familiarity with SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, NTP, network monitoring platforms, packet capture/Wireshark, device logs/debugging, configuration backup, and network performance troubleshooting.

Technology / Product Exposure

Hands-on deployment experience across multiple enterprise networking and security technologies is preferred, including routing & switching, NGFW, NAC, wireless, VPN, SD-WAN, and network monitoring solutions.

Exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise platforms will be preferred. Expertise in every OEM is not required; strong fundamentals and the ability to learn and deploy new technologies are essential.

Qualification & Candidate Profile

·   4–5+ years of relevant networking experience.

·   CCNA certification mandatory; CCNP preferred.

·   Strong networking fundamentals with hands-on deployment and troubleshooting experience.

·   Experience across multiple networking and network security technologies.

·   Ability to understand HLD, LLD, network diagrams, and implementation requirements.

·   Good analytical, troubleshooting, and customer-interaction skills.

·   Experience in a System Integrator / Network Deployment / Professional Services environment preferred.

·   Willing to perform onsite deployments as required and capable of independently handling assigned implementation activities.

·   Keen to learn, explore, and deploy new networking and cybersecurity technologies.
