Job Description

  • Role Overview

    We are looking for a highly skilled Elixir Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to building high-performance, scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Elixir, the Phoenix Framework, and modern backend development practices.

    In this role, you will play a key part in designing resilient systems, enhancing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable software solutions.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using Elixir and the Phoenix Framework
    • Design and optimize real-time data synchronization across platforms to improve speed, efficiency, and reliability
    • Improve system and database performance through caching strategies, connection pooling, and query optimization
    • Implement and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability tools to ensure system stability and uptime
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to design and deploy scalable solutions
    • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design and performance tuning
    • Maintain high coding standards through code reviews, documentation, and testing
    • Contribute to innovation initiatives, including open-source contributions and sharing technical insights within the team

     

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    Core Technical Skills

    • Strong hands-on experience with Elixir and the Phoenix Framework with – behaviours, Redis, ETS, dynamic supervisor implementation
    • Strong hold on source code management using Gitlab/github
    • Expertise in Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
    • Solid understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, and concurrency models
    • Experience with database optimization, caching mechanisms, and connection pooling
    • Good understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and real-time communication protocols

    Tools & Technologies

    • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Open Telemetry (preferred)
    • Experience working with modern backend development practices and performance optimization techniques
