Job Description

Role:

As a Data/AI Engineer, you will build connectors that extract, transform, map and ingest data from SaaS, cloud, data and AI platforms into an enterprise-grade SaaS platform in the data privacy, data governance and AI governance space. You will also help discover AI assets such as models, datasets and agents, following the patterns set by senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Develop connectors that extract, transform, map and ingest data from SaaS, cloud, data and AI platforms.

·       Build AI asset discovery for models, datasets, endpoints and agents across cloud and AI platforms.

·       Handle API authentication, pagination, rate limits and error handling in connector code.

·       Map source data to the platform’s data models, following defined patterns and specifications.

·       Write unit and integration tests for connectors.

·       Troubleshoot and fix data and connector issues.

·       Document connector behaviour, configuration and known limitations.

·       Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.

What You’ll Bring:

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

·       3–5 years of experience in data engineering, integration or backend development.

·       Strong programming skills in Python.

·       Hands-on experience working with REST APIs and data transformation.

Mandatory Skills:

·       Strong proficiency in Python.

·       Experience consuming REST APIs and working with JSON data.

·       Good SQL skills.

·       Experience with data transformation and mapping.

·       Basic knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services.

·       Exposure to at least one data platform such as Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery.

·       Experience writing tests with pytest or similar frameworks.

·       Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

Good to Have:

·       Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.

·       Exposure to GenAI or AI/ML platforms such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker or Azure OpenAI.

·       Experience with Airflow and Docker.
