Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Back-end Developer to develop and maintain the server side of our web applications. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging. Write clean code to develop functional web applications.
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes.
• Define and communicate technical and design requirements.
• Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future. Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Creating app updates for release, including bug fixes and additional features. Improving backend code performance over time.
• Writing effective, scalable, and reusable code can help create interchangeable back-end modules.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Assure the privacy and security of users’ data.
• Create and maintain software documentation.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in B.Tech/BCA or a related field.
• Experience working with backend development for at least 3 years.
• Possesses an expert-level understanding of Python, its fundamentals, and its frameworks (preferably FastAPI).
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Proficiency with SQL language especially in PostgresSQL.
• Experience working on AWS especially App runner, Lambda Functions and RDS.
• Experience working with REST APIs and Gateways.
• Rock solid at working with third-party API dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and GitHub.
• Experience working with remote data via JSON.
• Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming.
• Great interpersonal skills and strong problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the full Product Development and Mobile Development life cycle.
• Top-notch teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and organization skills.
